Preparation

A little more background. Dan left B of A Merrill Lynch to take a job with the Spanish bank, Santander. He is required by Merrill to take a 3 month "garden leave" before starting a new opportunity with a competitor. The leave is is with full pay from BofAML. Jayne came up with the idea of a big road trip around the US and we started planning. We have outfitted our Chevy Tahoe for "car camping". We have an Aero Bed, blankets, pillows, Coleman stove, folding chairs and table, screens for the windows, a canopy, a 7 gallon water container. We also have a lot of technology including this I-pad, books and music on I-pods, cell phone and camera. Our trip will take us 10,450 miles over the 60 days. We plan to camp for 30 nights, stay with friends for 20 nights and use hotels for 10 nights. It is a unique opportunity and we are really planning to enjoy it.
